Been a while...

I am mostly on Facebook now, but I am back with a few minutes to update. The girl is doing really well in soccer. She is the goalie which is a rare thing and the coach is happy to have someone who is interested and can play that position. During one of the summer tournaments she was diving for a shot and hit her head on the cross-bar of the goal. No stitches, but there was blood everywhere. I took her to emergency and they glued it together. A little later she went to the movies with her aunt and left me to field all the calls of concern.
The kids have finally discovered the awesomeness of In-n-out Burger! The boy took the better part of 12 years to eat a hamburger and he is making up for lost time.
I try to go riding about 3-4 times a month. This is a picture of my iron steed a KTM 300xc-w and the hill behind is Redondo Ridge on the back side of Big Bear CA. It is part of the "No Wimps!" ride made famous by Malcolm Smith. the picture doesn't do it justice. It is really nasty. I improve each time I ride and have a blast. The razors and other side-by-sides are making it more dangerous though. They are high speed and no match for a bike.
That's it for now..

Boy's first football game

Sean had his first football game today. They won handily thanks to his wickedly fast classmate, Karrinton. Meghan was on the cheer squad! That makes a two-fer.

Ridgecrest 250

Last weekend I was in the desert for the last desert 2-day of the season. It was a great ride with midday temps in the 90's. My bike worked great and I didn't have any 'offs.' My riding partners were not so lucky and were quite sore the second day, opting to go the easy route on Sunday. So I rode alone all day streaking across the desert at speeds teaching 70 mph.

Working the LB Grand Prix!

I put in a few hours helping my wife at the Long Beach Grand Prix. Thursday was the big push to get all the wireless access points setup for Friday's practice session. On Friday it was cold rainy and windy making everyone miserable. The rest of the weekend was beautiful! The races went on as scheduled and Silvia's clients were very happy. The 15 hour days are gone and my regular job feels like a vacation.

The food was amazing. I felt like Templeton the rat from Charlottes Web! Enjoy the pics

Desk at work.

I'm trying my best to go paperless by replacing paper with monitors. I must say having four monitors is awesome. How did I ever get along with only three for so long?
